Diabetes is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness. There are more than 41 million diabetics in India. Uncontrolled Diabetes and blood pressure can lead to a variety of retinal diseases. Diabetic retinopathy, branch and central retinal venous occlusion can cause blindness if not treated in time. Lok Kalyan Samiti runs a special clinic for detection of Retinal Diseases including Optical Coherence Tomography, Fundus Fluorsein Angiography, etc. Treatment by Laser Photocoagulation, Injections- Intravitreal Avastin Injection/ KenacortInjection/Posterior Sub Tenons Injection are also provided

Diabetes & Thyroid Care Centre

Keeping in view the severity of the problems of diabetes and thyroid, a well-equipped facility is available for specialist consultation, experienced physician and a regular dietician for nutritional issues. On February 12, 2011 the Minister of Food & Civil Supplies, Shri Haji Haroon Yusuf inaugurated this programme/service.
